The GoldStar Ingredient is the latest project from Atlanta based singer/songwriter/guitarist Julian Tillery. His music is a blend of rock, pop, soul and alternative. In 1996, Julian was one third of the eclectic rock unit Us!. An acoustic band that included Okorie Johnson on cello and John Reed on drums. As Part of Groovement, the same neo-soul imprint that spawned the likes of singers India.Arie, Donnie, and bassist Khari Simmons, they performed in Atlanta and other major cities. Being the only rock band in an otherwise soul roaster, they found it difficult to find their audience and disbanded in 1998.
