About Me

Hey Everybody!
I'm collaborating with an artist in Amsterdam on an ongoing performance called "Earth is a Phantom Limb" for ABC No Rio in NYC. It's a video dialogue between myself and Petter Alexander Goldstine that evolves daily. Check back at http://www.youtube.com/user/abccorrespondence during the next month for daily additions of new footage...
We're all becoming global village idiots!
In response to Panglossian optimism, "If this is the best of all possible worlds, what are the others?" - Candide
"Most of all beware, even in thought, of assuming the sterile attitude of the spectator, for life is not a spectacle, a sea of griefs is not a proscenium, a man who wails is not a dancing bear." - Aime Cesaire
"When we want to kill off democracy, we start by muzzling experiments, and we end up by accusing freedom of having rabies." - Baurriaud
"The most political decision you make is where you direct people's eyes. In other words, what you show people, day in and day out, is political....And the most politically indoctrinating thing you can do to a human being is to show him, every day, that there can be no change." - Wim Wenders
"In art there is the fact of failure, and the fact of partial success. Our metaphysicians must understand this. Works of art can fail so easily; it is so difficult for them to succeed. One man will fall silent because of lack of feeling; another, because his emotion chokes him. A third frees himself, not from the burden that weighs on him, but only from a feeling of unfreedom. A fourth breaks his tools because they have too long been used to exploit him. The world is not obliged to be sentimental. Defeats should be acknowledged; but one should never conclude from them that there should be no more struggles." - Bertolt Brecht
"It seems unlikely that the possibilities of continually undermining one's assumptions can go on unfolding indefinitely into the future, without being eventually checked by despair or by a laugh that leaves one without any breath at all." - Susan Sontag
I've loved so many people everywhere I've been, some too much, others not enough.

My Interests

I'm interested in the pliability of space-time fabric, aged gouda, long-distance urban walks, backpacking and unshakeable wanderlust, learning how to play banjo and throw a boomerang, sharing a little tenderness, a healthy amount of hating, sleeping, ear candling, and then bigger things, like multiple orgasms, world weather patterns, reconciling the objectness of the universe, and chewing over the big sleep.
