My musical likes are varied. I am a long time fan of Melanie Safka (nobody plays her)and Stevie Nicks. I also like Tori Amos (an acquired taste) a great deal, Pink Floyd,Willie Nelson. I could listen to EmmyLou Harris all day and like Linda Ronstadt and Dolly Parton as well. Sometimes I listen to Italian Opera especially if Cecilia Bartoli is performing. Also, I'm a Bob Dylan fan extending back when it wasn't popular. I have become a big Dixie Chicks fan. I quess I should mention that '60's Rock and Roll is my generation's music along with "Carolina Beach Music". Also, CCR is still one of my top favorites.What If God Was One of Us??
I usually watch a movie at least once and decide on my own if it's good or not. I like most any movie with Reese Witherspoon in it. I like horror movies but not the "blood and guts" type that Friday the 13th turned into.(The Ring, Van Helsing, The Grudge, Nightmare of Elm Street--the first one.) Also, most any with Morgan Freeman...those are usually good. The following is a list of movies that I will watch over and over again: ( not in any order): Sweet Home Alabama, Freeway, Full Metal Jacket, Van Helsing, Ghostbusters, Brom Stroker's Dracula, Selena, Spanglish, Dennis the Menace, Star Trek 2, anything with Goldie Hawn, National Lampoon's Vacation, Cady Shack, UHF, River of No Return, The Parent Trap (Hayley Mills), Groundhog Day, Any James Bond movie-those over and over)
My main TV interest is movies with ACC Basketball mixed in. I stayed glued to Buffy the Vampire Slayer when it's on. I liked Tru Calling but it didn't last very long. I liked Alias until Jennifer Garner got pregnant. and I like Firefly a lot but that didn't last long either. I don't spend a lot of time watching thirty minute shows. I'll watch a movie or work on a computer instead.
I used to average reading 100 books a year until 4 years ago when I started working on computer Certifications.My main interest was the two Kellermans mysteries. Patricia Cromwell, Kathy Reichs, Nelson Demille, Robert Heinlein, Dean Knootz, Stephen King, Anne Rice, John Saul, Bentley Little, PD James, Anne Perry, Anne Tyler, Brian Lumley, James Patterson, Ann Rule, Carl Heisen, Leo Tostoy, ( most of the "classics") Russian Literature, Mark Twain And about anything else that had a cover on it. I mainly like fiction--mysteries and sci fi.
