About Me

* I have an album! I've had a myspace for over a year and not mentioned the fact I have an album at all. It's called "Waiting in the Wings" and it came out on Reiver Records in 2005. We'll be recording a second album in August and will hopefully have it out by Christmas. You can buy a copy of "Waiting in the Wings" by downloading an order form from my website. Old school, I know. When I catch up with online sales I'll let you know! I also have 2 albums out with Meridian, 1 with the Climax Ceilidh Band, 1 with The Tabbush Sisters and 1 with the European Youth Folk Orchestra.*I am a folk singer/song-writer gigging the acoustic scene around London and South East England. I was brought up in a folk singing family. Born in Hexham, Northumberland then lived in Peebles, Colwyn Bay, Crondall, Farnham, Kingston-Upon-Thames, Brighton and now Guildford. I did my first paid ceilidh gig when I was 15 and have been gigging ever since! I play in Meridian, The Climax Ceilidh Band as well as singing with the Tabbush Sisters. I run two community choirs, Brighton Vox and Guildford Vox which never fail to cheer me up, even when I have the mean reds, and also serve to remind me what day it is. I love cooking and I don't have a TV.The recipes I have blogged up here are my own experiments that I felt the need to share with the world. Cooking to me is a lot like song-writing, you don't truly know if what you've created is any good until someone else has experienced it, and liked it. I've written many more dreadful songs than I've cooked bad meals, but they don't count.
