July PromoInternational Bookings:[email protected] [email protected] American born Nick Vidal is a hard DJ to categorise, playing a diverse and eclectic range of house music. His music ranges from touches of disco and soul, to his trademark deep soulful house sound and everything in between. Nick began djing rather traditionally in 2000 at house parties, playing a broader often harder variety of music than what he is now known for. He soon developed a name for himself amongst his peers, and bigger things came his way, with his finalist success with the Sunset Project DJ competition. This led to a 3 year residency which saw him play at venues such as Gas, Home and The Globe, alongside top Sydney Djs Kid Kenobi, Illya, Mark Dynamix, Will Styles, and then fellow up and comer Mark Evans (Trix). This residency saw Nick focus on the more soulful house sounds, as well as perfecting his craft to become one of Sydney’s most technically skilled house djs, often playing from three and up to four decks at a time.In 2003 Nick won the national Noise Magazine festival Dj competition, which got him a feature in Noise magazine, and his set played on Triple J radio 105.7 FM. Nick has also featured several times on Pulse radio and has done a number of live sets on Fbi 94.5fm Radio. Nick soon landed a monthly residency with popular night Art, which saw him play at Le Panic and then Yu as the night outgrew its Le Panic home. From his Art residency Nick became a regular at the sell out Aloof Parties at Le Panic & Soho. His technical ability and fun nature whilst playing have seen him grace the decks all over Sydney, at venues as varied as Home, Industrie, The Argyle, Space, Mars Lounge, Candy’s Apartment, The World Bar, and Home nightclub as well as several venues across the east coast of Australia. He has appeared on line ups alongside some of Australia’s top house and international acts such as Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens, The Groove Junkies, Richard Earnshaw and Andy Caldwell. He’s also had several of Sydney’s top live performers accompany him. With his distinct soulful house sound, Nick was quickly snapped up for a residency at one of Sydney’s hottest house nights SHE Soulful House Experience, as well as regular performances at New York style house night Klife and The Argyle.
