I'm John, or as some people know me, JB. I love to listen and dance to techno, play ultimate frisbee, ride bikes, mess with computers, do a little computer gaming like counter-strike and a lot of other stuff.
Myspace sites that don't have have: horizontal scroll bars, music videos and songs that start automatically, bright contrasting colors, changing colors, animated gifs, images as backgrounds, text that doesn't contrast with the image background and/or solid bright colored backgrounds. Is it too much to ask that I be able to read your site?
Some of my favorite music is very emotional. The emotion for me usually comes from strong melodies which build and release at just the right time. Vocals and good lyrics are not necessary at all. In fact I usually don't pay attention to the actual words in vocals. I prefer to concentrate on the feeling the sounds produce. A song I recently found (in Rockband) which I would put under that category (emotional) is Maps - The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. My preference for music with building melodies which produce good emotion probably explains my favorite subgenre of EDM which is also my favorite genre. I really like listening to good progressive house/trance. I mostly listen to this by myself, though as opposed to at a party. At parties usually the more energetic stuff is played ;-)
