1. My name is John and I live in North-East Scotland; About 40 miles North of Aberdeen, 188 miles South of John O'Groats,615 miles North of London,738 miles North of Lands-End and never far enough away from Manchester(!); In a house by the sea....I work very hard within the Oil Industry in a job that I love with an ace group of people.
2. Having been forcibly single for a considerable time (as I'd had enough of meeting liars & loonies!),I finally find myself in a relationship with a young lady that I have met whilst working in Kuala Lumpur. It is so true that these things happen when we least expect them!
3. When not at work, I like to chill out in my cottage by the sea, go to concerts & travel the world. As I am a secret computer nerd, I enjoy playing World of Warcraft and am a member of the Templar Guardians guild.

Stuff Wot I Am Doing
2005 ended and 2006 started off badly for me on a personal level,but I made a promise to bounce back with a vengence. I lined up some great gigs & holidays and by the end of the year I had travelled to some fantastic DM gigs in Manchester,Dublin & Granada;I saw New Order in Glasgow and The Human League in Manchester.
I aimed for,and achieved,promotion at work and above all I gained back the self-confidence & respect that had been torn from me - and then some.
2007 has been great so far. In February,I moved to my ideal coastal cottage.
I have recently achieved promotion at work and a chance to assist with setting up my company's new plant near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, where I am currently based for the months of June & July.

My Interests

In my 3rd busy year of working for Kvaerner and currently based between Aberdeen, Scotland and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I'd like to meet:

Myself 20 years ago,so I could give myself a huge kick in the arse to stop me from doing some of the mega-stupid things I did back then that had a negative impact to my life.
