California Cooper, Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye(not anytime soon, though for these two cats), Bill Gates .... Oh yeah ... and my Soul Mate ... where are you, Daddy? . Esthero WAS on this list, but I was blessed to meet her at her incredible August 17, 2006 show at the Hiro Ballroom in NYC. She dedicated "Gone" to me, and, as if that weren't enough, called me on stage to groove with her as she sang "That Girl." cool, huh!

Television:

VH1 Soul, CNN, "Real Time with Bill Maher," "The Wire," "Sex and the City," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "The Family Guy" "Law and Order-Special Victims Unit," and documentaries about history, religion, music and politics.

Books:

Anything by J. California Cooper - including, but not limited to, "Some Soul to Keep," and "In Search of Satisfaction;" Claude Brown's "Manchild in the Promise Land."
