LoopJunkies AV team exist from the end of 2003. They are settled down in city of Split (Croatia) with cooperator in Belgrade (Serbia). They choose mostly drum'n'bass as their music orientation so as techno, noise, IDM, hip-hop, dubstep, breakbeat. This group of young producers, DJs/VJs, designers, promoters and organizers at the time is most perspective and most active audio-visual groupation in Croatia with ther releases and production. They branded couple of events in their home town (Karantena, Techno VS. Drum'n'Bass, LoopJunkies Attack Your Town) and they are proud parents od first croatia seaside open air festival "Burning The Beach". They are raised on HardCore, Metal, Punk and Noise music, where they gather inspiration from for music production and lifestyle. Implant and Xplode are the leaders of collective and beside them there are Drizzt, Karmakumulator, Unn and Silver Surfer.
Vedran Zenzerovic (Implant) born in 1984 in Split,Croatia is coming from hardcore an metal background.After a few years playing in several bands he decided to start working on electronic music and getting into all around music production. He started to do some Hip-Hop, IDM and Dub projects but after a while he discovered DNB and started to do more and more DNB tunes and mix them. Getting more into DNB world by listening to Kemal, Technical itch, Dieselboy and others he got his first gig in club "Kocka" where he met VJ Xplode. Then the Loopjunkies team was formed.2007 was a big year for Implant getting a first Croatian DNB release with his free EP "Get mad" on Black Hoe recordings, that was the start of his DNB career, he signed on Nightmare recordings and releasing on 2 VA compilations with tunes as "Son of Satan", "I.Bitchbot" and "Drug abuse community".Making collaborations with Zero method, Tamas, Identity, Treo and Recall he is starting to get appreciation from artists and DJs all over the world. Has a number of performed parties all over the Balkan behind him and is waitting for few releases on Temper D productions,Conflicted,Wayside, Malfucktion and Mind Technologies and letting you know that this is only the beginning!
Ante Simic under artist name Xplode is 22 years old graphic and motion designer from Split... started with design and motion graphix in late 2002. he become one of the most wanted visual performers in Croatia. He is a member of LoopJunkies audiovisual collective that organizes, promotes and makes audiovisual creations. His teammate is Implant and thogether they are "LoopJunkies AV" deadly combinations on Drum'n'Bass party in the world. Xplode worked with many artists on stage like John B, Pendulum, Bad Company, Pointless Creations, Derrick May, Carl Cox, Aril Brihka... and on many festivals like Elektro Funk, Priredba, Hartera, Revival, Exhibition,... Xplode, togehter with Implant he is a founder of LoopJunkies collective and organizer of drum and bass serials "Karantena", Techno serials "PROJEKT", first seaside drum'n'bass festival in Croatia "Burning The Beach Festival"... His quality was recognized by the Belgium label "Influenza Media" and now he is signed as one of their artists.
Igor Mihovilovic started to experiment with the tapes and various types of experimental/noise in 1998. 1.1.2001. he starts project Karmakumulator. His interest in a DIY underground scene was already evident and some collaborations and contacts were existing. During next few years live actions in Zagreb, Ljubljana, Novi Sad and Split were performed. Also, split tapes and cdr's with Industria Masoquista (Ecuador), Armenia (Ecuador), Napalmed (Czech Republic), Hermit (Canada), Antenna 59 (Italy), Praying For Oblivion (USA), Mourmansk 150 (France), Aldebaran (Croatia), Phroq (Switzerland), Dada Jihad (Croatia), Razorblade Jr. (Netherlands), Gruuthaagy (Croatia), Lasse Marhaug (Norway), Guignol Dangereux (Italy), Tote Stadt (USA), Crvi (Croatia), Gihtshasie (Croatia) were released on different Croatian, Ecuadorian, and Swiss based labels. In 2004, after concert in Cakovec, Croatia and release of first solo album «Please don't let me see these images again» on Ecuadorian label Rape Art Prods, project slowed down and for the next 2 years no recordings were made due to other activities and interests. In summer of 2006, new materials were recorded and after kind proporsal from UK label Industrial Culture Records split with UK based project Insane Asylum was launched. After that, there was first concert in Split with 3 persons lineup. Next was webrelease for croatian label Gentlejunk containing live material recorded in Cakovec, Croatia in 2004. Split tape with croatian Powerset Axiom was recorded in summer of 2007 and released on croatian NIR/Circumanalis Records labels. Live collaboration act in Labin, Croatia with Powerset Axiom was performed in october 2007 on EEII Fest. Also, covers of Gerogerigegege and Nirvana were recorded for 2 american compilations very soon afterwards. At the end of 2007 material for split cd with Ov Korpse (USA) was recorded and after that collaboration with croatian Gentlejunk Co. for Hikikomori Records 3'' release from Denmark. Project is currently recording cover of ex-yugoslavian synth/pop artist Oliver Mandic. In 2007. enters in LoopJunkies collective!
Drizzt is known as Luka Lukac also... He is performing as techno DJ till present day. Love for drum'n'bass started long time ago when he wanted more from electronic music in his mix. He got his first bag of vynils and magic started... His mix is oriented on tech-step mostly and is fully driven and groovy. Drizzt is the man when time comes to show someone how it must be done on turntables. 3 decks? No problems...
Dino Penic (Unn) is a new name on the croatian drum’n’bass scene, started to listen and look up older and new releases of d’n’b in 2005 after he met Implant on a d’n’b party at Kocka. Throw the year’s he found some intrest in dj-ing, mostly mixing technoid, neurofunk. His first contact with live audience was on a party with Allied and MPJ Slo at Kocka, Split. Now he is a part of the LoopJunkies audio/visual team, learning and improving his skill, looking forward for new knowlage and experience.
