Welcome to my little floating rock in this Myspace universe. My name is Rick. I'm a little bit dark, a little bit contemplative, a little bit mellow, and, hopefully, I have a good heart.
Music has always been an important form of expression for me. Some days though, I get bored with it. I bought a camera so I could capture pictures of nature that I may wish to remember.
I find myself collecting more books than CD's as I get older. Books are a wonderful escape from the real world. We can live somewhere else for a short time.
I am striving to eat better and excercise everyday. I think it helps with my outlook in life.
I would consider myself hopeful. This is not something I brought with me from my youth. It is much rather something that the years have given to me. I like it. I hate it.
I am also a man of Faith. Without it, there is only darkness. Without it, my head hangs and my steps become slower as nothingness keeps meeting me moment after moment. Faith can lead us from mountain to mountain. It can teach us to love.
I think mankind has made a mess of what God has given us. And yet, I think that there is still so much beauty in this world. I wonder how it would be to lay in this as He intended.
I dream about things. Things I can be and things I cannot. I am hopeful that some of these dreams are realized before my time here has ended. What man is a man that does not make his world better? A wonderful quote from the movie "Kingdom of Heaven"; it rings true and resonates within me.
Feel free to message me and say hello. I regret that I must begin being very choosy about band friend requests as I am getting so many each and every day. I also regret that I have blocked Invitations due to the large quantity... Most of which are not even in my area.

Stlhomeless.org is literally a grassroots effort by individuals and is not directly associated with one single group or church. Rather it is an effort by the individuals from many groups and churches. We hope you will pray about how you can be involved.. Wade and I head up the team at the Church of God at Baden and we go out Monday nights looking for homeless people to clothe and feed.
