Anyone passionate about their craft, especially if they love to discuss and share their experiences with others. Women who try to pursue their passion while balancing the challenges and joys of raising a family.
To me music is like a running soundtrack, each song seems to evoke a different emotion or remind me of a moment in my life. I love to share my passion for music and turn other people on to it. I enjoy the music I grew up listening to, Janis Joplin, Cream, Santana, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, what can I say good taste runs in the family. My tastes are all over the place from jazz/blues to emo to good old rock and roll and everything in between. Depends on my mood and the day.
Anything that makes me feel something - emotions are such a powerful thing. I like films that show the dark side of life, that everyone has secrets, fears, and internal demons, and all the better if it has a twist at the end I never saw coming. I also enjoy films that make me laugh out loud, the ones where you can't seem stop quoting the lines. Some of my favorites are Some Kind of Wonderful, Cruel Intentions, Fight Club, Splendor in the Grass, The Great Gatsby, Shag the Movie, Signs, The Village, Memento, Secretary, Dot the i, Sweet Home Alabama, Election, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and A Funeral, Clueless,The Wedding Singer, Joe Vs the Volcano, Goonies("I love you chunk"), Dodgeball, Never Been Kissed, and Anchorman.
Unless you count late night reruns and an occasional movie on cable, I don't have much time to watch tv.
Pretty much anything that is interesting and thought provoking enough to keep my attention - I have even been accused of reading the back of cereal boxes. I was one of those weird people in high school who lived to have to read an assigned book; two that I still love 1984 & The Great Gatsby. I enjoy books on acting and directing Intent to Live by Larry Moss (What an inspiring book - his philosophies on life and acting are incredible)so good that I discover something new each time I read it and Sanford Meisner on Acting are two I really enjoy. I also love poetry, my favorite poet is Merritt Malloy. Reading her book The People Who Didn't Say Goodbye has inspired me in many ways.
My son, Cameron - he amazes me with his strength, resilience, and beauty everyday.
