Hello from us at EL UFO. You may wonder who and what we are exactly, so here's a brief introduction to who we are and what we do.
So El UFO records is (in alphabetical order) Gavin, Jimmy, and Morg.
EL UFO Records is purely for fun, it's not a promotion company but we do like to put on Punk, Hardcore and Ska shows in South Wales. Many "promoters" seem to forget what a company is and label themselves it never-the-less. What we do is put on shows, not for the money, but for the fun. The money we earn from gigs is going into putting on other gigs so the money YOU pay to get into our shows isn't exactly going into our pockets, it's going back into the 'scene' so to speak, as cheesy as that sounds. Basically, we don't spend your money on stuff for ourselves, we put it back into putting on shows. This isn't our Job, we dont have salaries, nor 'staff' and we don't 'earn' money from El UFO. That's the way it is, and that's the way it always will be.
We are a 'record label' to some extent, but we're not a company really. This is basically for fun. What we do is pay for bands to record, and for the product to be manufactured, and then get our money back which we then put into paying for other bands to record etc. Again, I'd like to point out that the money you pay for our CD's and such is going back into paying for other bands to record CD's, so basically we aren't pocketing your money to pay for clothes, chicks, and beer. Or Sandwitches for the matter.
We like to get drunk at "meetings," and we aren't proffesional. We're down to earth guys and don't make our we're better than we are. If we say we'll give you a gig, chances are we really will do at some point. A lot of bands get really annoyed at the fact we dont put them on at every show, but that's the way we like to work. With us variation is the key, we like to give people something new at every gig, which is why, as you may have noticed we tend to put on different bands at every gig. When EL UFO first started we didn't want to be like Salts, because not only did he put on pretty bad bands, but he also put on THE SAME bad bands at every gig. We don't want to end up like that, and we're doing our best not to. Also, when we choose bands to play a gig we choose the bands best suited for the line-up, so don't get pissed off if we don't choose you. Your time will come.

- We make gigs as cheap as we can, we don't really care much about profit, but we do care about losing our own money. But hey, every party costs!
