I'm Karn Suriyasasin. Many people call me BANK as it's a nick name given from my parent. I play the saxophone. I also write and arrange music focusing on jazz.
I was born in Bangkok, Thailand. After receiving a bachelor degree from music department, faculty of education, I worked as a freelance song writer and arranger -- mostly pop tunes. My first published music was for a TV show, and that was back in 1999 when I was spending my last year at Chulalongkorn University. I just completed my master degree at University of North Texas and returned to my homeland in 2007. I have been giving saxophone private lessons at Sax Society music school, run by Koh: Mr.Saxman
Yellowtail, the first demo from my latest project, is up!! It's a easy listening bossa nova tune. I was on the saxophone and Platong was on his fugal horn. Thanks to P'Pang on piano, P'Boyd on bass, P'KhongBang and P'Siam from The Takashi Band on drum and guitar. They are all great musicians, brothers and friends.
