About Me

So I sat down, took a deep breath and just listened to the city. It was one of those hot pre-summer days in early June. The room was refreshingly cool because it was not under attack from any direct sunlight at this time of day. The silk curtains danced in the afternoon breeze that came from the open window and it filled the room with a sense of hope. After a couple of minutes of just sitting there I was in a state of calm. For the first time in months I could lower my tense shoulders. Everything felt so distant. All the tragic events from the past few weeks had just disappeared and I was no longer in a state of despair. I poured myself a glass of cool red wine, lit a cigarette and closed my eyes. The memory of you was not that far away after all.
