What is Thatmagazine? THAT: BEING THE ONE MENTIONED, INDICATED OR UNDERSTOOD. With so many cryptic messages, hidden meanings in language, at Thatmagazine we’re trying to make the message simple! We are a small voice of the Skateboard, and Snowboard community in Whistler/Vancouver. We will be heard with echoes as soon as people start listening to what we have to say. Our voices are complex, brilliant and maybe just retarded, but our goal is to make a promotional magazine for companies and talent around our cities. From interviews with strippers, to respected scientists, we will be something to be talked about for years to come. Our purpose for Thatmagazine is a satirical look at all magazines in general. We will however, support local companies in our local scene. We are not “Hollywood North.” We are Vancouver. We’re sick of other city’s bullshit. We are here only, and going to bring our riders everywhere else. We interview riders from all over that come to our cities because we are home, true north! Thatmagazine is the best thing to happen to you since you lost your virginity in the seventh grade! The magazine founded by Jordan Truce,Edward Lee, Nicolas Langdon and David Ko. The magazine comes out four times a year with interviews of mostly Vancouverite skaters. Establishied Novemeber 2003. The magazine started as a one colour magazine. The first three issue were black and white with issue four and five colour.Issue six was made by them selves completely when they bought a Xerox Photo copy machine. They lost money on that and now print 105 gsm paper weight full colour. The magazine has a unique identity with the pages being 5.5 inch height and 4.25 inch wide.
