LOCURA is a Spanish word meaning "Insanity" and in a lot of ways can be related to countless situations, decisions and ideas.
Late 2004 saw the forming of Adelaide metal band Locura. During the late months of 2004 and the whole year of 2005, the band had many lineup changes, but didn’t stray to finish and release their debut EP "The Mental Scars EP" on September 17th. Within six months of the EP’s release, over 300 copies were sold and made way for Locura to get right into live shows. During the life of the band there has been the pleasure of playing alongside some of Adelaides finest, such as: Truth Corroded, Double Dragon, Tidal, Through Closed Eyes, The Jonestown Syndicate, Synnove, Murder Hill and many others. We also had the opportunity to do Against The Grain 2 in 2006 which saw us on the lineup with some of Australia’s greats.
2007 saw Locura head back into the Studio to record the debut album "Draconian Measures". The process of writing and recording this album was a testing challenge for us all but the end Result is one we're all very proud of. "Draconian Measures" is available now.
