About Me

About me... Hrmph. Well, I love swimming in the ocean and hamming it up on the dance floor and playing air hockey. In my heart of hearts, I believe most things are possible with a little courage, faith, and community. I tend to dream big dreams yet am pleasantly distracted by the people, ideas, and little things I stumble across in my daily life. I seek out and am captivated by spaces and places that transport my imagination to another time, to the mysteries of lives gone past. Oh, and I carry little notebooks whereever I go, just in case there's a story or a person or a piece of architecture that I feel I must capture on paper...hmm... aaaggghhh! Save me from this navel gazing.

My Interests

Television:

When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to have Barbie dolls - which meant that I always played with Barbie dolls when I visited friends. That's kind of like my relationship to television. I haven't watched TV at home for more than three years but I love watching shows like the Colbert Report, old re-runs of Quantum Leap, and the West Wing. At home, I listen to the radio all the time and absolutely love This American Life, but now they are introducing a TV show as well. Is that a sign?

A Wild Sheep Chase, The Curious Incident of the Dog in Night Time, Where the Wild Things Are, Alice in Wonderland, Kite Runner, The Long Walk, The Far Side...
