My only purpose in watching television is to connect with others or learn something about food, and for the most part I am a solitary individual so hence, no need. Programs that I find acceptable under certain circumstances are Star Trek, (all) Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, Seinfeld, Friends, most HBO and Showtime series, and some reality television. I like Dog the Bounty Hunter and my younger spirit enjoys the Real World.
Terrance McKenna, Bill Bryson, Augusten Burroughs, Carlos Casteneda, David Sedaris, Robert Jordan, David Bodanis, Jose' Arguelles, Haruki Murakami, Bill Harris, Ted L. Nancy, Tucker Max, cookbooks, guides to getting rich quickly and effortlessly, astrology books, and math and science books written for those with little to no formal education on the subject matter. Soon I will be delving into the subjects of education and our legal system.
My Dad. My brother. People who make prank phone calls. Carlos Castenada. Survivor winners. Published authors. Manual laborers. Albert Einstein. Tesla. Buckminster Fuller. People who don't give up on themselves. Whales (they made it out of the water, onto land, and then were like, "screw this.") And everyone in the world with passion, integrity, and a honed skill(s) that they place their body, mind, and souls into. And now that I really think about it, anyone who wakes up in this reality is actually a hero/heroine.
