Escape Mortality were founded in May 2004 in Cologne, Germany.
The line-up is Tara (female vocals), Seth (male vocals, shouts, growls), Dx (guitars), Eddy (bass) and Karo (drums).
The music is a wide range of elements from death, gothic and progressive metal. There are diversified song structures and vocals - male and female clean vocals alternate with deep growls and aggressive screams.
The extraordinary mixture of blastparts, fast guitars, groovy midtempo passages and atmospheric acoustic parts contributes to such different bands as Opeth, Nevermore, Dream Theater and Death.
Since 2005 Escape Mortality had various gigs in locations in and around Cologne, they reached the Emergenza final in 2005 and were headliner at Rocken Open Air 2006 in Bergisch-Gladbach.
In February 2005 they produced their first demo-CD in Gernhart studios in Siegburg (near Bonn and Cologne).
Currently they are working on their second album which is expected to be finished in late summer/autumn 2007.
