Computers,irish music,genealogy(Grimes from Ireland County Down, Knapp, Montgomery, Stuart from Ireland county Down ),good historic fiction,movies,puzzles,antiquing,watching my kids dance, play music and do sports, making soup,watching football and hockey. I'd go see a roller derby if there ever was one nearby. I like listening and watching anyone who can play the hammered dulcimer well. Love Ren Faires and anything Irish or Scottish. Just found out we are part Cherokee, so I'll be researching that more now too.
I've already met the love of my life. And I got to meet and visit with Rich Mullins years ago. I'd still like to meet people from around the world and anyone who could teach me Gaelic...Anyone with a good sense of humor, any age, race,etc. I'll pass on those whose top 8 look like pin-up posters, kids who say they're 45, but are really teenagers (I don't mind teenagers, just ones lying about their age), and middle aged guys and gals who think they look good in speedos...Here's Rich Mullins and crew doing that funky cup thing to Screen Door. I've seen this done at the Hammitt reunion and it is fun to watch! I'm just not coordinated enough to do it! We got to see Rich and his friends do this in concert in the 90's. And yes, I got him to sign all my music.

Shine On Us Lyrics ..Shine On Us is my favorite song to sing with my brother,Tom! Next is the Star Spangled Banner...corny? Maybe, but I love to sing with him. He's the best!
I got to see John Spillane at the Kansas City Irish Fest. It was great! We went to the KC RenFaire the next day. What a wonderful weekend. I listen to NPR stations and WGCA or WIBI during the morning and evening hours mostly. I like Pandora and LaunchCast so I can choose what I hear. I love to sing and will start singing at church again soon. It's been too long and I've missed it. Really enjoy Celtic folk, Natalie MacMasters, Rich Mullins (the most intriguing person I have ever had the blessing of meeting), blue grass, Christy Moore, John Spillane, Blackmore's Night, Jars of Clay, Burlap to Cashmere, MercyMe, NewsBoys, 38 Special, Boston, Styx, James Blunt, some trance-Crystal Method(theme to 3rd Watch), some hip hop, Not big on rap or much twang, although some of it is o.k. I've asked my kids to have this played at my funeral. I've always liked this song.

Reading several now. Started Touchdown Alexander. If only my saughters could find young men as good as Shaun! We are reading through the Bible a little each morning. I thought I'd read it all, but reading outloud has made it clear to me that I didn't pay as much attention as I should have. It really is an amazing account of the world. My granddaughter settles right down and listens when I read to her! I'm also reading The Red Suit Diaries, Beautifully Pinned Promises, The Power of a Praying Wife, and 21 Ways to Finding Peace and Happiness. I atteded a Lenton study group reading Yes,Lord, I Have Sinned But I Have Several Excellent Excuses. A friend just recommended I read Created to Be His Help Meet by Debi Pearl (2004), so I've ordered that. Also like any by Diana Gabaldon (Jamie, take me away!);Follow the River (Phenominal account of one woman's journey to return to her home after being captured by Indians in the early days of the American colonies--movie did NOT do her justice and I SO would never have been able to find my way back home and would have stayed with the Indians! Besides, the Chiefs son was incredible to her and her children. What's not to like?) The Endearment...Everyone should read this one, very sweet and tender;the Highlander series(not for kids!),Victoria Holt, Cheaper By the Dozen (the original book of the Gilbreaths)
My parents, my grandmother, msrip... She was truely a strong independent woman; My aunt and namesake; My dad's family, who gave us our strong love for Jesus and showed us the incredible power of prayer and faith. They also taught us to work hard, always do our best and to be honest with all we do. I admire my kids-they're incredible and four of my best friends and supporters. I admire our service men and women who have no choice but to be in harms way, people who survive disease,persecution,and poverty to become role models for others;
