Hey, ya'll, I'm Karen, called Kare, Momma K......I am 50! I used to be embarrassed about it, but lately I am darn proud of it! I've taken pretty good care of myself over the years even though it has been stressful raising two kids alone.
I think the ONE thing that has kept me going more than anything else is a someone - GOD! God is so awesome! He is very very close to everything I say, do, see, etc. I turn to Him for everything. He's my Father. I know my blood father is in Heaven with Him, and that just makes me feel all the more comforted.
The Lord told me to move here to Nashville in February of '06 and then told me again a little louder. I went to the altar and He then gave me the finances to prepare to move. HOW SCARY! But I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me!! Yeah, He can do that and sooo much more!
Just when I thought my life was picture-perfect I then had small tragedies that made living in Franklin, TN not-so-pleasant and "picture-perfect." What I had to do was pray, read my Bible all the more, up the devotion time, and just praise the Lord even louder! It is now almost March of '08 and things are turning out pretty good! I'm very excited about tomorrow and the next day, etc., etc., etc.!
There are two music artists here I would love for you to check out....I actually help market them. One is Stephanie Smith, a pop artist who has waited and waited for the Lord's time in her start - she's now going!!! The other is very dear - her name is Eowyn (A-O-WYN) and her music appeals to the younger crowd - the ones who love screamo, hard-metal, industrial rock. This woman, just like Stephanie, has so much of a desire to reach her audience and have them be aware of what God can do for them and their future! I really am proud to stand behind both of these women!
So......what about me??? Well, I'm writing music, I'm creating a girl-band in the next two years - and am excited to be in the hub of music! Thank You, Lord! I'm so looking forward to what He will do for our tomorrows!!
My 16-yr. old son, Jason, is my sweetheart and the apple of my eye. He is the most loving man/guy I know....his heart is pure and giving, and I can't think of once where he put himself first before someone else. He's a whiz on the keys and the guitar, has won music awards and has transformed this past year to "Mr. Personality." My daughter, Taylor Kristen, is my 13-yr old-going-on-18 sweetie. She's beautiful, talented and a whipper-snapper, meaning she can hold her own. Taylor is training for a career singing right now and we are working hard at training, writing and practicing these days! She will succeed, no doubt in my mind.
