I am here for Friends

About Me

i just finished college, and i am now actively using my degree working at starbucks... hmmm just lying. oh, but in the mean time, when i can squeeze it in, im working on some music while living in nashville trying to survive. Actually, folks.... Forgive me, but I am going to self-promote for a moment... You need to check out the Gotee Ladies compilation CD that will be available April 24th. My first release on Gotee is track number one! Look for Superstar April 24th!!! Anyway, I have an incredible community here. I have been so blessed to be immersed in a place where i feel so supported and loved by the people who have become my extended family. i really enjoy life, i just appriciate living it. i love to read, i love my mac. Im addicted to caffine, unfortunately. i love seeing the world- i have traveled to italy (florance, rome, assisi, venice), paris, guatemala, and most recently i spent a semester abroad in Africa. Culture is a wonferful thing, i suggest you learn about your own as well. There are so many places i have yet to go, next i would love to spend some time in germany, australia or china. anyway, i like color, texture and scents as well.... my sewing machine is a good friend of mine. i appreciate beauty. Im inspired by truth and excellence. And most importantly, my heart has been transformed by a redeeming God who is unfathomly great...

My Interests

i love to get lost in a project... to use my hands and create. the feeling of a final project that is pleasing is not easily captured by words... to create; to have an idea, and not be sure how you are going to achieve it, but then to do so regardless... is quite satisfying for me. i love to sing, ahh i have heard it said by so many before, which is why i am reluctant to say it, but i cant see myself doing anything else... i love to travel, so see things that are beautiful, solemn, historical, disgusting, or just plain fascinating... this world is intense. i love to love. I love my new car. Its my dream car... for this season in life at least, and that would be an acura tsx. I named it hamilton in honor of my father (its his middle name).

I'd like to meet:

if i could meet anyone? well.... in no particular order:whitney houston- i would tell her she could have had one of the longest diva careers ever had it not been for crack.... dont take crack... jack black- i think we would be friends... donald miller- i have a little "i dont know him to know for sure- but i think i may have a crush" on him keanu reeves- i would ask him politely to never make another movie... adam sandler- i think we would also be friends... jack kerouac- i would like to get inside his head for just a minute... philip yancey- i really admire him, and i think he has a lot of wisdom... i would like to sit down for coffee with him... mariah carey- i would ask her to do that high note, and see if i could learn it... kevin max- im sure he's heard it before, but if i could please just tell him that he is the most incredible vocalist on this side of heaven.... i could go on about this one, geez, and i would go for a cup of coffee with him but anyway.... a few more... jesus, st agustine, st francis, Michelangelo, DaVinci, job, ruth, my father, gabriel, kurt hasley, john lennon, my grandmother smithmore to come.... is this what this spot is even for?

random starbucks cup quote

The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating- in work, in play, in love.  The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and par...
