Mississippi Magnolia by Miller Hancock
Like a spring time Magnolia bursting in bloom, when Kyla is near laughter enters the room. Events are recounted, wild stories abound. You can't help but smile when Kyla's around.
But if you stop at the flowers, though lovely they are you're misssing the essence of this Magnolia's heart. So while you're with her, listen closely, take heed and you might hear what I hear, see what I see.
For this Magnolia's heart seeks out the rotten, the weary, the destitute, and the downtrodden. The ones we forget or choose to ignore. The ones we pass by and won't help anymore.
She lends them her joy in a Savior unseen, she gives them a hope in being washed clean. She cultivates their souls, and so plants the seed to help them become what God meant them to be. For as the wisest once said: what you've done for my least, you've done for me.
