About Me

One day i'm going to purchase a tropical island and throw a party for all my friends and loved ones...until then i'm just gonna keep active, eat some healthy food, enjoy my work, and soak up the sun in the lazy afternoons.

My Interests

music, swimming, running, outdoor adventures, travel, nice warm people, nice clever animals, big unconventional thoughts, understanding the origins of our behaviors, baking, anthropology, playin' the bass, dancing till my feet are angry, watching the sun chase the clouds away, learning to love things that i used to hate, exploring emotion, honesty, truth, and finding genuine connections with good people.

I'd like to meet:

David Bowie, E.O. Wison, Oscar Wilde, Ayn Rand, The makers of Bionic Commando, Jesus Christ, Joeseph Smith, Buddha, Rasputin, Mozart, Danny Elfman, Hitler, George Washington, Socrates, Sigmund Freud, my great great great great great grandchildren, and people who have difficulty lying (like me).

Music:

It's hard to rank these...but since i can remember (maybe 15 years) I've consistently listened to Oingo Boingo, Fugazi, Bad Religion, NOFX, Bowie, and Citizen Fish, and XTC. The others are some new favs and some old favs: Comets on Fire, Sufjan Stevens, Arctic Monkeys, Tom Waits, Pearl Jam, Pinback, Operation Ivy, Minor Threat, Joao Gilberto, Green Day, Fluf, The Vandals, Bob Dylan, Depeche Mode, John Denver, Daft Punk, The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Dead Kennedys, Leonard Cohen, Miles Davis, Crass, Captain Beefheart, Built to Spill, Ben Folds, Switchfoot...Recently, Blackaliscous, the Strokes, The Rapture, Ima Robot, Ryan Adams, Eminem, My Morning Jacket, Hot Hot Heat, the Stereophoics, the Libertines, and Jet, CB5, The Streets, Run DMC, Tears for Fears, The Postal Service, Neil Young, Bonnie Prince Billy, Beck, Rob Crow, Buck O' Nine, The Doves, Blackalicious, U2, The Bosstones, Ashley MacIsaac, The President's of the US, Miles Davis, Propahandhi, Radiohead, chillipeps, David Lee Roth, Gil Scott-Heron, Stevie Wonder, Soul Asylum, Boilermaker, Dance Hall Crashers, The Band, The Cranberries, Mojo Nixon, A Tribe Called Quest, Mike Ness, The Mr. T Experience, Susan Werner, Gang of Four, Jane's Addiction, Sleater Kinney, G and R, Dead Milkmen, They Might be Giants, Townes Van Zandt, The Highwaymen, The Velvet Underground, Richard Cheese, T-Rex, Jethro Tull, Unwritten Law, The Who, and all the other artists under the sun writing and performing their own creations or copying others and making the sounds sweeter.

Television:

Heroes is pretty bitchin', occasionally i like to watch sporting events so that i can feel connected to the life blood of the media world, Tivo is great, or i like to just stare at the wall....it's better brain exercise than television.

Books:

Great Japanese author: Huraku Murakami. Other good things: works by Herman Hesse, Edward O. Wilson, Ernest Hemmingway, David Eggers, Oscar Wilde, D.H. Lawrence, Omar Khayyam, J.
