spies like us, goonies, braveheart, multiplicity, billy madison, back to the future, shawshank redemption, army of darkness, office space, ghostbusters, the big lebowski, three amigos, lawrence of arabia, bill and ted's excellent adventure, spaceballs, shaun of the dead. there are many great movies out there. but i like these better.

non-fiction stuff mostly-- history, geography, etc. the current read is "Raj-- The Making and Unmaking of British India" which is a lengthy, detailed, but still incredibly interesting glimpse into daily life for limeys as well as indians from the start of occupation until independence. no small read, but well worth it if you're interested.
