Growing up in a multi-cultured neighborhood he was exposed to all genres of music. Not to mention the fact that two of his older brothers were 80’s D.J.’s. By the time he was 18 he was mixing his own music in the attic of his eldest brother Pierre’s Newark home. It wasn’t long before his passion for mixing turned into a craving to make music.Vincent started a group with his younger brother, Antonio McClain who had become fascinated with hip hop at the age of ten and already experimenting with writing rhymes. Together they formed "Original Misfits" along with eight other members. At this time Vincent decided to use the pseudonym "Cyco" and Antonio was called "Kiaz Da Madd Scientist". They spent several hours a day coming up with hooks and concepts for rap songs.During this time they began interacting with members of the Five-Percent Nation. This enlighted both of them and gave them a different perspective of life as well as what they thought of themselves as young black men. Mathematics was the new way of life for the two so they both chose names that best described who they were. Vincent, now Isaheed and Antonio, now Knowledge Born had a positive outlook on their future.Using mathematics to guide them towards their goals the two of them began to strategize on ways to get noticed musically. While working at a local studio the two of them studied the engineers and producers. They learned very valuable lessons. They saw how dirty the industry was and just how unreliable people were. After numerous let downs and disappointments the two of them decided to start their own label. Isaheed became more interested in the business and politics of making music. Along with the gift of gab and what he learned in the earlier years he made several promising contacts and started producing tracks for many artists.By this time Knowledge Born was growing bored with writing rhymes. He decided to make an investment with his tax refund. He purchased a mp 2000 and a Tritan keyborad and began to venture into a world of creativity. Living in Newark Knowledge always found himself listening to soulful classics, club music, hip hop as well as reggae. When his mother took him along with two of his siblings to Baltimore Maryland he was exposed to Go-Go music. Mixing all that he knows with the sounds in his head he created a sound of his own.In 2002 Brokebrick Records broke ground with it’s sensual single "Shorty" which featured the two brothers writing and rhyming skills. This earned the respect of the laides as well as the streets. The next single was "Yap Yap" a very funky reggae inspired single that shook the streets of Maimi. It didn’t take long before the streets of Newark were talking. Brokebrick Records found itself overwhelmed with talent.Brokebrick Records is climbing it’s way to the top.
