Ashford and the Machine - It is what it is

About Me

I am a poet - Not a pop star.

If you are named Tomas Södergren and have decided to write songs in english, you might as well get a stage name. And you might as well get an odd one. And you even might get one that starts with an "A"... Just look at ABBA, They would have been nothing without the name! (Or Bjorn, Or benny... Anyhow.) My name is Toma... Ashford, and this is what I do. If you like it - let me know. If you hate it - plain go screw yourself. Either way, we both walk away with smiles on our faces...

When I am not working or hanging out with Linda I try to make it as a musician. Whenever I get the time I also like to modify and build instruments. I prefer messing with mandolins and basses, so if you have junk at home that doesn't work please donate it to me so I can make more weird music....

My songs are mostly recorded at home on my 2000$ desktop studio equipment. They may not be in tune, and it may not even sound very mixed at all but it is what I do. With the internet as your promotional companion you can let people listen to any crap you might post. I will not buy studio time or take voice lessons. If you like my music then listen to it, I do not plan to make it to the charts, I just have my inner demons and the way I fight them: By writing songs...

Consider it a joke played on my friends on the expence of myself (And a tribute to anyone else)

Goodbye Kirk

Today I sold my old trustful companion Kirk. The 25-year old Volvo has served me well since 2003 and is now on his way to a new home in Holland. May the tulips bloom for you.

Failure to launch...

...No this has nothing to do with my genital regions - which can be discussed in private messages - but more of a computer problem. As it seems I have filled my computer with so many programs and file...
