The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man.

About Me

hmmmm... this is always an interesting question.. I'm a little bit of everything. Love, art, nature, music, yoga, good conversation, travel, esoterics and the good and simple things in life inspire me the most. Ocean, desert, high mountains, jungles and urban landscape are my playgrounds. I love backpacking, surfing, kayaking, free diving, rock climbing and pretty much anything outdoors. I'm fascinated by the mysteries and biorythms of the earth, and am an avid conservationist. I've got the brain of a scientist, a heart of gold, and (sometimes) the mouth of a trucker. I'm a natural born leader, and am often the one instigating crazy adventures and backpacking trips out into the middle of nowhere. I'm going to have a lot of crazy stories for my grandkids. I love to have a lot of fun in life, and am continually seeking the balance between work and play. I like pyrates and dorkin out with my friends. I love fine green teas and sushi. I read a lot and like to surf the big NW swells whenever I can. When I find a projekt I am truly interested in, I will put all of my energy into it and make sure it comes to completion in the best way possible. I believe integrity and honesty are the true foundations of a spiritual life. I love romance and connection, and I've got a lot of love to share with the right person. I like silly humor, anime and cartoons, but I also study up on politics and like to be informed on whats goin down in the world. I went through a pretty intense health crisis during the summer of 2006 which reoriented my lifestyle in some major ways, resulting in my becoming much more health conscious. Since then I've been studying up on Taoist health practices. The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity has recently become one of my favorite books. I'm fascinated by the human condition in both its light and dark sides and have done a lot of work exploring my own humanity. A bit of history: I grew up in inner city LA, oldskool rave and moontribe culture. Went to burningman for the first time back in 1995 when there were only 3000 people and it only cost $40(damn its grown a lot since then!). By the time I was 17 I had had enough of the crazy hubbub, and decided to hit the road, and trekked up to Northern Cali where on a full moon night I discovered Santa Cruz and planted my roots. In between adventures, living in the forest and working on different projects, I went back to school for Environmental Studies and Marine Bio. Its hasn't all been easy, but I'm grateful for all the mountains and valleys I've climbed over and walked through in life. Now I live in a beautiful home a few blocks from the beach, running a succesful kayaking business and working for the government on Central Coast marine conservation projects. Its good work to be doing day to day, and is fulfilling on so many levels. Slowly, though, I'm beginnging to feel like I need to make a career change and am going to start a sustainable building consultant service later onthis summer.
