Jack Nasty The Tantalizing ArtistBorn on the island of Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands, David Lightbourne (the name his parents gave him) is the product of Carl and Mary-Ann Lightbourne. As of late, the last three years, this complex gentleman is known conspicuously as €œJack Nasty€?, and instead of a track-and-field, he is now burning up the radio waves and tantalizing concertgoers to jump on stage with him and start a mad gyrating dance to his upbeat tunes.Jack Nasty erupted onto the Turks & Caicos Islands€™ entertainment scene in 2003 with the release of his first single €œKick Drop and Wine€? and promptly released a video recorded at Beaches Resort and Spa and Stardust and Ashes Night Club on Providenciales, TCI. His single had no problems getting radio air time and debuted at number one on the local station, Radio Turks & Caicos, and remained at the top spot for 6 weeks. To date, Jack Nasty has released a total of fifteen original tracks and a number of remixes.Jack Nasty is widely regarded as the country€™s number one solo performer. In just three years, he has emerged as a promising talent in the growing TCI€™s entertainment industry and has already performed at two Beenie Man concerts, the 2004 Turks & Caicos Music and Cultural Festival with R&B hit maker Keith Sweat, Freddie McGreggor, the Manhattans. He has also performed with artists€™ such as Morgan Heritage, Bone Crusher, Ashanti, Shaggy, Spragga Benz, Beres Hammon, Bounty Killer, wayne Marshal, Gregory Isaacs, Tabou Combo, BeBe Winans, Candi Staton, Oscar B, and opened up the stage for Jeffrey Osborne.and a number of other international artists. His most recent performance was at the 2006 Turks & Caicos Music and Culture Festival where he performed on the same stage as Ludacris, Fantasia, Elephant Man, Teena Marie Steel Pulse, Najee, Yolanda Adams, and many more. He was mostly inspired by his cousins mother, and cousins Clement Lightbourne and Kareem Lightbourne, who are also singers, and just the excitement of being on stage and entertaining people. He plans on promoting his music both locally and internationally and is grateful to be afforded the opportunity to represent Turks & Caicos, a wonderful and beautiful country.Jack Nasty most recently shot his debut video to his latest track entitled €œWine Ya Body€?, which was recorded in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The single is currently burning up the radio stations around the Turks and Caicos Islands. The video also came as far as number 6 on the cross Caribbean countdown on MTV Tempo and is also being aired on BETJ.At first impression, Jack Nasty€™s demeanor would seem to be a contradiction of sorts as opposed to what you would get on stage during one of his performances. During our interview with TCI€™s top solo performer, the 27 year-old was very polite, articulate and looked as though he would be more at home in an office as the manager of a thriving business than on stage starting a ruckus.
