"Chalk It Up To An Overdeveloped Sense Of Unbridled Vengance"

About Me

I have been vegan for over 9 years and plan to be for the rest of my life. If you aren't vegan, you should be (yes, even if you dumpstered it). Also, I don't do drugs or drink which makes me either cool or a square depending on who you ask. Most of my time goes either to making vegan treats at Chicago Soy Dairy (yeah, I have the best job ever) or working on animal rights campaigns/prisoner support. I really should schedule in some fun sometimes, but I am bad at that.I also enjoy movies, used to play in bands (and hopefully will again some day) and am generally too jaded for my own damn good.

My Interests

Ignoring the odds and fighting to make the world a better place/Not letting ones growing sense of hopelessness stop you from doing what should be done.

I'd like to meet:

People interested in getting off the internet and making Chicago an active city again. The revolution will not be on myspace (note: I am not really expecting the revolution to come, but still, we should at least try).

Music:

Time for a revamp here. Here is what I have been listening to these days (in Alphabetical Order no less):1905, Alkaline Trio, Andrew Bird, At The Drive In, At The Gates, Atom and His Package, Bad Religion, Bane, Bikini Kill, Boy Sets Fire, Bright Eyes, Chokehold, Circle Takes The Square, Conflict, Crass, Cursive, David Bowie, Dead Kennedys, Death, Death Cab For Cutie, Defiance Ohio, Descendents, Dragonforce, The Dresden Dolls, Earth Crisis, Elliott Smith, Erin Tobey, Finntroll, Fugazi, Gather, The Get Up Kids, Gorilla Biscuits, His Hero Is Gone, Jawbreaker, Job For A Cowboy, Johnny Cash, Kimya Dawson, Madeline Adams, The Mars Volta, Mastodon, Metallica (old), Miki Greenberg, Mirah, The Moldy Peaches, Motorhead, The Mountain Goats, Neutral Milk Hotel, Nile, Operation Ivy, Opeth, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Propagandhi (my favorite band), Requiem, Rilo Kiley, Rise Against, Slayer, Sleater Kinney, Spit For Athena, Spoonboy, Strike Anywhere, Submission Hold, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Tom Waits, Tragedy, Trial, Undying, The Weakerthans, Weezer and X-Ray Spex

Television:

I don't watch TV except on DVD for the most part (though I do admit having a shameful addiction to "The Biggest Loser" for some reason. However, the awesome shows that I do watch on DVD are:Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Dexter, Kids In The Hall, Monty Python, Mr. Show, Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Office, Ren and Stimpy, The Sarah Silverman Program, The Simpsons, Six Feet Under, Strangers With Candy, The Wire and The Young Ones.

Books:

Largely political books, fantasy books, graphic novels & fucked up fiction (ala Chuck Palahniuk). I take the train to work so I read a bunch while commuting to the burbs.

Heroes:

The ALF and anyone who is willing to put their own freedom at risk to help others. Support Political Prisoners: The SHAC 7
