About Me

Two things that make me happy: confusing people and making them laugh.

The performance of a piano sonata can, in principle, be reduced to a set of eighty-eight functions describing the position, velocity, and acceleration of each key as a funciton of time.

So where do the human emotional qualities of the music come from? Or perhaps more precicely, where in the functions is their emergence encoded? The general reductionist principle here confounds me. The desire to understand it motivates most of my interest in the world.
