Captain Pants

As life gets longer, Awful feels softer.

About Me

Some of the roles I play or have played include: empathetic, caring and taken advantage of friend, happy husband, extremely goofy absurdist, English Teacher, frisbee aficianado, manager of cases for the developmentally disabled, cook, Sci Fi Nerd, Rock Star, Singer/songwriter, Absent minded, boss, chess junkie, and more.
I was recently booted off of MySpace due to the conniving of some ignorant asses that unfortuneatly reared their fecal faces out of the past. I am still disgusted by MySpace and the failings of humanity, but my vituperative rage has diminished as the drag of everyday life wears on. So I am still working on fully restoring all the info from before, and now I am saving everything.
The man walking away from you and me on my page is J P Sartre, and here is what he has to say to you..........
I confused things with their names: that is belief
"Fascism is not defined by the number of its victims, but by the way it kills them."
"It disturbs me no more to find men base, unjust, or selfish than to see apes mischievous, wolves savage, or the vulture ravenous. "
"Life has no meaning the moment you loose the illusion of being eternal. "
"Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you. "

ALBUMS Currently Augmenting My Enjoyment of LIFE ----Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire-Thrills-It is not at all what I expected. It is violiny Cajun, folk 20's style something. Very different, but its unexpected surprise sounds fresher and more fun with each listen
ALSO, Spoon - Girls Can Tell, Yes, I know more Spoon. I can't help myself, and this album is great as well. Every Spoon song has its own original character. I need more time with the album, but it is the standard stripped down but groovetascious excellence I have come to love Spoon for.
Labyrinth Soundtrack - I couldn't resist - Dance Magic Dance, Jump Magic Jump. And Baby Said!!!!!!!!

Just finished Cannery Row by Steinbeck - good times, The Palace Flophouse characters are almost identical to the vagrant knights of Tortilla Flat, but drawn more realistically. The whole story is mostly the colorful and humorous outlining of a fascinating little community as Steinbeck does so well. Doc is a fascinating character also.
