About Me

Oh yes oh yes the big Charleston Contest! Hello everyone! This page was created to capture the grand music of an era gone by. Most people don't know what was "hip" and "jive" in the 20's and 30's. This music is to help you remember how to party like it was 1925. From "King of Jazz" (1930) comes the Whiteman Orchestra playing "Rhapsody in Blue" Ted Lewis and his Orchestra perform "Jazz Pirates" and "Lady Luck" with Noah Beery. From 1929.
