PULSE CODE MODULATION

About Me

Born in 1993 in the city of Marseille (south of France), Pulse Code Modulation is a one sided project leaded by Benjamin Fouquoire. After sending several demos and a moved to Paris, in 1995 he signed a deal on the Italian Disturbance label for the wellknown series "outer space communications V3". After this release and with the help of his brother (at that time the header of the only south of France Techno label Mesclum records) he met Jean-Marie K at fairway records.
Following this first met a true friendly relationship born between Jean-Marie and Benjamin. His first collaboration for Jean-Marie K's label was "polaris" on the "spiritual techno fish up" compilation in 1997, nearly followed by "substance M" .. night". The same track appeared 3 years later, in 2001, on their masterpiece collaboration "Aldebaran" on Megaphone records. It was the first released of the new JMK's label and he offered naturally the first full lenght CD to his friend Benjamin. With wonderful articles in the french press considering this CD as an answer to Berlin and Detroit Techno, all was on the starting block for an international distribution...but that's the bad part of the story their distributor for personal reasons (not to mention the name here) refuse the deal and keep a big part of the stocks. So "Aldebaran" stayed an only well acclaimed press success...
Two more collaborations followed in 2001 and 2002 "Morning beats 1& 2" with an unreleased track "Reflux" on volume 2 and Benjamin decided to start his own label "PongMusic" with the help of his friend at Topplers distribution. The first and the only one released was a 12" with very different sides. The A one is a big influenced Italian Disco Joke called "Discodrome" and the B one is the more serious Detroit Techno track. After this 12" Benjamin decided to stop for a while after several years worked in musical industry business, he felt that Electronic music and the Clubby Parisian scene was too stincky. The answer was simple but make two years to grow, it was the time to go back to home...to Marseille!
After the crash of the hardisk, the new album is scheduled for september 2K8 ! But an ultra limited one sided 10" will be given this summer to his friends by the artist !
I'VE GOT MANY FRIENDS ISN'T IT?
Few rules:
DON'T SEND ME YOUR I.M!!! I DON'T HAVE TIME TO SPEND ON IT!!! LIKE MSN OR ELSE!!!
AND BE PATIENT WITH REQUEST, I TRY TO LISTEN AND READ EVERY PROFILE BEFORE ACCEPTING!!!
I DON'T CARE ABOUT FRENCH RAP AND PROGRESSIVE AND TRANCE STUFF SO I WOULD DENY EVERY BAND OF THESE GENRES
