Pegah is an alluring, multi-talented singer/songwriter who's based in Sydney, Australia after her family relocated there from Iran when she was 6. As a young girl, she soon discovered her passion for music and especially, singing. "I started singing as soon as I could speak...so my parents tell me and writing... well I clearly remember that, the first time my heart was broken by a boy, which was when I was 12..haha". Although Pegah doesn't come from a highly musical family, she remembers waking up to music almost every day of her life, "My father never used to come up and wake us up for school, he simply blasted some funky music that he knew we loved and that woke me up in an instant". Sometimes that music was Persian. Pegah's music is a melting pot of Pop and R&B and an exotic, Eastern flavor which runs through most of her tracks. This distinct influence can be linked directly to her heritage and background. "I love the eastern juices that flow through my music and my veins. They make me Pegah".
Currently, Pegah is busy gigging around Sydney with her band S M O K E and writing material for her first album. Her original music and haunting voice is captivating audiences in Australia and around the globe. Music is my life and my escape. "The music business really tests your self belief and in the end you just have to eliminate the bullshit and believe in yourself and what you deserve....your ultimate dream".
