About Me

I was born in Niagra Falls...and now I live in Los Angeles...I continue to play and produce in various rock bands...which is why I moved here.Got my start back in '77 in San Francisco playing in the Sleepers and Tuxedomoon, did some nice moments with Minimal Man and Flipper (in the studio mostly)and The Clocks of Paradise and also Torcher with Paula Keyth...and I'm still at it.I also played in a number of other bands, whose names are eluding me at the moment. Most recent producing projects include Teenage Talking Cars,Crystal Antlers,Indian Jewelery, and RJ Eskow. I'm currently in the studio recording Smash Fashion and Lion Fever. I encourage you to go to all of the above bands sites to here mp3's of what we did together. The new studio I'm working out of is owned by my very dear friend David Bianco. We found and are continuing to restore the old Mama Jo's Recording studio in N. Hollywood. There's a nice Wikepedia entry about the history of Mama Jo's to get an idea of what the place really is.We call it our Gem!! It was built around '74 and has AMAZING sounding rooms, including a control room done by Vincent Van Haaf (see waterland.com) and through Vincent, Herb Alpert has donated one of his favorite plate reverbs from the old A&M Records Studio to our place and it sounds truly glorious!!So thanks to both of them as well as Jim Quarrels from the old Larrabee West and a bunch of our musician friends here in LA the place has been up and running since January '07.
