JW "IJsman" Verkuyl is an engineer, mixing and recording records at Studio AfterHours in Amsterdam. Working side by side with producer Dutchflower, IJs is in charge of the bass-heavy, analog sound of Dutch's production that's rapidly turning AfterHours into the place to be for great sounding records.
Weapons of choice @ Afterhours? The central nervous system is the SSL 4000E, a 56 input analogue monster, reinforced by a vast collection of superior outboard gear, including GML, Avalon, Tube-Tech, Focusrite, Urei and much more, all the plugins you need, running out of a Protools HD3 system, fed by the mic of choice- The Charter Oak 538.
