Emetrius Hunter known to many as "Meechie" is said to be a strong black man who has a heart and passion for God, and who loves to give God Praise at any and every given moment. I am a resident currently in Greensboro, NC by way of Sacramento, CA by way of Oakland, CA. I love to love people and give respect even when respect isn't given (in most cases...lol). I believe that in order for us to understand we must FRIST get an understanding of each other, because if you don't understand me and I don't understand you then we can't understand each other at all as the good book says "In ALL thy getting (don't limit it) get an UNDERSTANDING".... I am have become like Job "Though you slay me, YET will I trust Him", I have endured some heartaches and pains and have been lied on and talked about and even now the gainsayers are talking but "Though you slay me YET! will I trust Him" I have found if I trust God through it all when its ALL said and done "No weapon formed Against me SHALL PROSPER".... Well I will let it go right their but I thank God from which He has brought me from and I am glad I went through that way so that I would know, "For it is He that has made us and NOT we ourselves".... okay, okay, I am going to let it go. But I am an inspiring psalmist and have had the oppurtunity to sing with some of gospel's greatest ministers in music (not artist because they are God vessels and one thing about art the painter can always change the image or the person who purchased it but God did not make artist He made psalmist that minister the word of God through song...okay, okay I am going to stop) but I have been blessed to minister in song and share the stage with such Gospel Greats as Walter Hawkins and The Love Center Choir, Tramaine Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Leonard Bailey, Robert Weaver and the Weaver Chorale, Karen Clark-Sheard, LaShun Pace, Richard Smallwood, Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar, Jesse O'Banner and Job Company, B.Chase Williams, Huie Lovelady and Unity Community Choir (you all watch out for them now), National COGIC Choir, Bro. JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, Minister VaShawn Mitchell, San Franklin-Stancil, Bro. Kevin Stancil (one of the BADDEST bass players and vocal coaches I have ever met and worked with God Bless You and Love You brother, and San thank you for allowing him to be a BIG brother to me.)Lynnette Hawkins-Stephens, Tamela Mann,Dave Hollister, Rusty Watson (Love you Uncle) and many, many more. But I thank God most for those who molded my gift that God gave me and let me know how to properly use it and no matter what to never forget God and thats Huie Lovelady (My Godfather), Ms.Maggie Wincher, Bro. Jaime Hawkins, Sis. Sunny Hawkins, Bro. Kenny Norman, and last but not least Sis. Nona "Choir Mother" Brown (Love ya Mamma...lol). My biggest inspiration has been my sister Ty'Sheya DuBose and her hubby Steffon Dubose (One of the baddest drummers of our time) and also Rachelle Hunter (my biggest fan and best sister in-law) and also my god sister Mrs. Dana W-Robinson (Love you girlie) and one of the Worlds most renoun singers and designers Ms. Kim W. (K'Vasi Fashion). I thank all of you and if I never win a grammy or Stellar just having each and everyone of you in my life and having the oppurtunity to meet you all has been far worth more than any award!!!!
Now when they say "THERE IS NO SECRET TO WHAT GOD CAN DO" I now know what that means, because GOD has opened a door for me to be of use with my music abilities and I have been appointed and I humbly serve as the MUSIC DIRECTOR for one of the greatest churches under the one of the GREATEST leaders (Dr.Herman G Platt) @ the WELLS MEMORIAL C.O.G.I.C.....
