Bishop Michael D. Wilson

Bishop Michael D. Wilson, D.D. is a native of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. From an early age it was evident that the call of ministry was on his life. Through his passionate style of preaching it is apparent that he has a heart for God's people. Bishop Wilson is committed as a servant of the Lord to see the "Wounded Recaptured, the Backslider Restored, To Reach the Unsaved" and to provide HOPE to those who are in hopeless situations and to remind everyone that "The Word of God is the Anchor of the Soul." Through his military experience in the United States Army, in which he served for 16 (sixteen) years; and through his deep relationship with God, he possesses an innate ability to minister to the needs of the people with diverse backgrounds. He empowers them to walk in an abundant life through Jesus Christ. Bishop Wilson has a prolific and articulate way of conveying the message of Christ to the captives and leading them in God's army. Bishop Wilson walks in the authority of Christ, proclaiming healing, deliverance, and victory in the lives if people all across this world. Additionally, Bishop Michael D. Wilson, D.D. has founded and established the HOPE Bible Institute, a center for higher biblical education. He aspires to maintain a place where the people of God can pursue their knowledge of God through biblical studies. Bishop Wilson brings a wealth of leadership experience to the body of Christ. He is a 1999 Graduate of Beulah Heights College from which he holds an Associate of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Education. He is continuing his education at the Interdenominational Theological Center. In 2005 he received the Atlanta's Gospel Choice "Chosen Award" for one of Atlanta's Distinguished Pastors. He also possess an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the St. Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, Florida. He is listed among "Who's Who in Black Atlanta" - the 2005 Edition and has served on various ministerial boards and has been affiliated with many diverse organizations. Not only is Bishop Michael D. Wilson, D.D. the pastor and founder of the HOPE Cathedral COGIC, (One Ministry in Two Locations), an educator and a counselor, he is a husband of 19 (nineteen) years to Lady Desiree A. Wilson and father to four children Asia, Brittany, Constance and Chicc'um. He is a friend, leader and a warrior to countless people. He is truly God's manservant.
