low fi video but you get the idea. Was a good night man.
Yes.
So Session makes music. Music spanning Drum 'n' Bass, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Breakbeat, Downbeat, Rare Groove and the occasional dip into the folk pond.
It's all heavy, soul influenced warm production that lends itself to the ears of anyone grown up on real music and with rhythm in their bones.
Polarbear obsesses over syllables and the rhythm of vocal patterns and sometimes drops a rhyme, accapella or over a track.
An intercity friendship began as a result of a meeting at Onetaste festival 2005. Tracks were emailed, words were written, poorly recorded, bounced and emailed back, ideas were born and shit just happened.
Thanks to a baby and the love of a good girl the bear headed south from the heart of the country to start a family and the Session and Bear link was solidified. The Session and the Bear - 'Keep it Simple' EP out early Oct 06 is some of the result of the meeting of two minds on the same line of the same page.
A blend of eclectic production and heartfelt lyrics making tunes to make you move, think, reminisce and hopefully want more.
With another EP in the making and planning for a debut album it's all about getting shit done for this talented two. Gigs being sorted as we speak so check back.
