Can Withstand short bursts of Ethnic Arabic Music but only if it drives everyone else in the car APE SHIT!)Well, okay. I listen to French Rap once in a while... Weightlifting. I'm only in this for the possible exchange of ideas and/ or infos that may result one minute, hour, or day later into a pleasurable co-mingling of viewpoints, hypotheses, or ideals. Okay, nothing that I just typed made any sense. But that is the whole point of it all. To hopefully have an open frame of heart or mind. To be able to let go of negative preconceptions even if only for a moment in time. Only long enough to know what it was like to be pure of soul and intellect. In those empty spaces in your head when the word NEGATIVITY HAD NO MEANING. After which we can just all open our eyes and live in our present state of spirit or mind. Whatever that may be! People with enough creativity Who don't use a Head-on Pic as their default, but would instead photoshop something to all hell and unrecognizability. Or people who use a Head-on Pic with a creative camera angle. (okay, I'm lying. I would like to meet someone with an actual SOUL!) I like insouciant, non-chalant people. Yes, I like typing the word insouciant. Insouciant Insouciant Insouciant. I like default pics of people getting eaten by animals or monsters. Yesh, that is cool. I *heart* girls that use mega-amounts of eye-liner. Esp. those of pagan origins... *SPOOKY*

ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN Fave albums: Ocean Rain, Crocodiles, Porcupine, and the four CD retrospective "Crystal Days 1979-1999". I got into this band at the same time that I was into Slayer! Echo was at the start of the 2nd British "new wave" invasion. Though at that time they were called "post-punk" which gradually transitioned to "alternative music". Ian McCulloch lyrics are at times either non-sensical or obtuse or just plain brilliant in the latter albums. But most importantly, his lyrics got me into writing poetry. I spent many hours trying to figure out the meanings, which led to me developing my creative writing abilities.

ACHTUNG BABY! -U2I was never into U2 until I heard this. The year prior, their "Joshua
Tree" album won all sorts of awards. I didn't even care! What did it for me
were the PHAT bass lines. THis was a bass heavy danceable album. Joshua tree
didn't really show case that.
I like cellos and baroque/ classical song forms as well. It's a little known fact that Cliff Burton, Metallica's
first bassist had formal training as a classical pianist. Old Metallica
songs always had that "classical music" feel because of Cliff's pianist
background.)
Faves:ONE, Until the end of the world, So Cruel, Mysterious Ways, Tryin' to
throw your arms around the world, and Ultra Violet. A lot of his lyrics are very
worldly and hold meaning. Very touching. All that you can't leave behind... U2/I only liked about two thirds of the album I'm afraid. My favorites were:
Walk On and Kite.Against- SEPULTURA/(with new lead singer Derrick Green.) I only liked about half this album. The
few songs that were good were outstanding. They had Tribal drumbeats, violins,
orchestral arrangements and double bass drum speed metal synergy. All in one
song sometimes! The other songs just sounded like filler material.Chaos A.D.- SEPULTURA/With the old Lead Singer. Max Cavelera before the band split up. IN terms
of songwriting this is about the apex of the Seps combined talents.Diabolus in Musica- SLAYER!!/(I grew up listening to speed metal. Slayer's format has not deviated
unlike Metallica. Metallica is still an awesome band. I'm just pointing out
though that slayer has stayed true to their musical vision for their whole
careers. Anyways, DIM has the most severe grooves in this album. Usually their
songs have severe rythm and some melodic accompaniment with the guitars. But
groove requires less melody and more bass guitar and Drum interplay. The
guitars are there to back the rythm section up instead of the other way
around. Mostly I listen to slayer when I run long distances and lift weights.
The drum beats and rythm get you going long after your body wants to call it
quits and die right where you stand.)DIvine intervention- SLAYER!!/God Hates Us All- SLAYER/(The album sounds negative but it isn't. The title song is a tongue in
cheek take on how most humans won't take responsibility for their own actions
or mistakes and would rather just attribute this that or the other thing to
God hating us. Rather, it is we who hate ourselves because it is we who
perpetuate all the low down dirty rotten things that happen to everyone else.
NOT GOD! That's the chorus to one of the songs (god hates us all). And in
between the chorus he's describing how humans do this and that and how WE
mistreat others and are killing off ourselves. If you don't know already,
Slayer doesn't worship the devil. They are Atheists and entertainers but are
very shrewd observers of society and human nature in general. I don't expect you to run out and buy this stuff. It's a very
savage, hard hitting, brutal kind of music. It's make-war-kind-of- music
sometimes. It's an acquired taste in other words. If you're not into it it's
cool with me. To tell you the truth most of my friends don't like the same
type of stuff that I'm into but that's what makes the world interesting.)East meets East- Nigel Kennedy and the Kroke Band/
J.S. BACH/ VIVALDI- NIGEL KENNEDY AND THE BERLIN PHILHARMONIC/
VIVALDI- Sophie Mutter and the London Phil (I think?)/
GARBAGE V. 2.0- SELF EXPLANATORY
Beautiful GARBAGE-
These songs have so many textures. The ones I like off the first album
were: Fix me now, Not my Idea, and my favorite is still MILK. The lyrics are
to die for. So beautiful and melancholic. Not that I care for it but she's a
specialist at singing these songs that are so full of longing and desire, but
that never seem to come through for the person.GARBAGE - BLEED LIKE ME/(I caught them live in Paris and they played Run Baby Run and Right Between the Eyes as well as Bleed Like Me. Which of course made me run out and get the CD when it came out. I loved about 75% of this album. There were about 2 songs out of the 11 that one can consider filler material. Another 2 songs were okay.)
