Da Saint

Latino artist James "Da Saint" Perez (aka Saint James, Jay Grey) was born & raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He underwent some tough times throughout his teenage years, moving from house to house. With no father figure in his life he became more smart & self-supportive. Saint realized he wanted to be a better man than his so called father & step-father. He finally realized the streets at that point of time in his life was doing him damage. He undertook a drastic decision to either continue his college schooling or pursue his destiny to be the most versatile Hip-Hop artist. The summer of 2002, Saint made his decision to join forces with his long time friends Joe Theory & Young Archa his previous music producers. So he moved down to the Jersey Shore in Toms River & lived with his Godparents. They took under the name of Da Njays (Da Nocturnal Journalist) to pursue their path as Jerseys next top Hip-Hop group & Production team. The team pushed out 2 demos already by 2004, but no response. A dream started to fade quickly, no hope & no belief was left in Da Saints mind. What was next for the young Latino to do? Saint decided to work two full time jobs to keep him occupied. Still with music on his mind constantly, he tried to block it out of his life. Struggles & stress started to take toll on Saint as he was becoming an adult. He finally realized enough was enough, his heart & mind came together as one to get back on his dream & now his goal. In 2006, Saint started to make his own path & start his own empire, J-City Entertainment.
