About Me

Makora is a Nottingham based quartet formed in the sunny days of last summer. Featuring the respective talents of Ad, Johnny, Jon and Theo, they play a brand of acoustic based folk/rock/pop. blending wide ranging influences into their own ensemble. Makora’s live set adopts many guises, contrasting upbeat choruses with more reflexive moments, reeling through showcase instrumentals and exploiting different timbres. Since their formation, Makora have gigged extensively around and about, feeling equally at home playing intimate acoustic gigs as they do when in full force at larger venues. Keep an eye out for proper recordings in the not too distant future!

Consisting entirely of third year students - Theo is the singer, with John F on guitars, Jon C on the bass, and Ad laying the drums and percussion.Feel free to visit: Makora on Facebook!
