PEOPLE ... especially my family & friends, then: my cats, movies, travel, camping/hiking, music, designing web stuff, playing poker, singing, cooking and books. I also love good COFFEE (I roast and grind my own beans) & gourmet food/wine way too much. I used to jump out of perfectly good aircraft, ski fast, kill people at volleyball and other usually painful pastimes, which I've had to give up as my body now is saying, no way babe. Those two fake knees are not helping me here...
no one particularly and everyone specifically. What I'd like to do is TALK for a long time to a few... like DaVinci, Galileo, Jesus, Mohammed, the Dalai Lama, Buddha, Confucius, Benjamin Franklin, Sir Richard Burton (the explorer), Shakespeare and many more. Fame is not interesting to me... intellect, wit, new ideas, new ways of thinking and true humanity are far more interesting.
If it's good, I like it. If it's innovative, fresh and tells you a bit about the soul of the musician, I like it a whole lot more. I'm overly biased about FIVE, which is strange cos I don't really like pop music very much, but I love theirs... especially my friends Scott Robinson and Sean Conlon. Also, listen to the amazing Jamie Scott and the Town... they are great. The Beatles ROCK and everyone else is about 50 miles below them. I've been involved in the music business on the side for over 30 years including writing & reporting for some horrid USA teen music mags (which ate my soul) but I got to meet & talk to loads of legendary artists & attend concerts that are now legendary as well.
I love movies! But mt favorites have to be either different in a quirky way or touch my heart, since I'm a mush. I am overly fond of Sci-Fi & historical epics. I can't even begin to list the movies that I love but a few are ANY Monty Python movie, Starman, X-Men, the Matrix series, the Lord of the Ring series, Harry Potter, Becket, Van Helsing and The Fifth Element. And just about anything with dragons or vampires in it. I started life as a child singer/actress, so I still have a perverted desire to get back into it. Sad, innit?
Regular television is pretty much crap, but I did love the X-Files, Angel and Quantum Leap. I usually watch PBS, Discovery, History channel and stuff like that IF I watch at all. Since I have worked in television for almost my entire life, I love it and despise it. It'll probably kill me in the end.
I read over 100 new books a year, so don't ask! I will read an encyclopedia or a dictionary if its available and I'm bored.
my mom and my husband.
