About Me

I hate these things; I never know what to say about myself. So...here goes. I'm quiet, I've got a few self-image issues, but if I'm around people I'm comfortable with I tend to be really goofy. I love to laugh, but don't really posses anything even resembling 'wit.' I like to read and write, but spend most of my time watching TV and being online. I love to talk to people online, mostly because I don't have as many issues with being shy when I'm not face-to-face. There's something about annonymity that makes people bare their souls. Or something like that. I also like a lot of kids stuff; cartoons, old books, comics, ect. Most of my light reading comes from the Young Adult section. The rest comes from Sociology or Current Events. Go figure. Hm...Oh, and I like to make icons. Not much more I can say about myself.

My Interests

I read, write fanfiction, and make icons. I like anime, anime conventions, and cosplaying. I make all my own costumes and have been known to make normal clothes, too. I don't smoke or drink, but I LOVE going to bars, if only to see all the people there. I also like to dance, but if you ever see me dancing you might not know that's what it is. I also live for watching Law&Order on TV. Which is good, cause that show is always on somewhere.

I'd like to meet:

In what context? Meet...just to meet? To date? These things really should be more specific.Online I like meeting anyone, pretty much, as long as they don't try to be cute and flirty or what not. New people are interesting and I love to chat.In real life, I like people who are lively. I'm the person in the back of the crowd, so I like people who can entertain me. Two shy people in a room are just going to sit around and look at eachother; how much fun is that?As far as dating goes, I'm definantly looking. I haven't really had a good record in that department. Or much of any record at all. I like guys that are confident, down-to-earth, and can make me laugh. Which isn't that hard, since I'll laugh at nearly anything. But beyond that I don't really know what I want, and probably won't until I find it.

Music:

I like anything that doesn't have 'fuck' 'bitch' 'whore' or references to someone's ass in the chorus.

Movies:

I like all kinds of movies, depending on my mood. But I don't like horror movies. Except for Dawn Of The Dead.

Television:

Law & Order.

Books:

I love Animorphs. I don't care if the last one came out five years ago and they were targeted at kids. I've discovered that children's books have themes as serious as any adult book, it's just the style that is different. (Children's or Young Adult writters don't feel the need to be word-y and complex for no appearnt reason.) I like a lot of other things, too. Too many to mention.

Heroes:

My hero is Moe Turner, whose exploits are told in The Girl Watcher's Club, by Harry Stein. I want to be Moe when I am old and eccentric. Or maybe before I get too old to enjoy it.My other hero is my mom. If I am half as loving a parent as she was I shall consider myself lucky.
