Zakiya Halima Oshun Williams is a gifted and creative lady. Her name, "Zakiya," means intelligent one. "Halima" represents a divine gentleness. "Oshun" means, in native tongue, daughter of God. Zakiya is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia. Zakiya has appeared in plays such as “Madeas Family Reunion” as the character ‘Tina’, Fred Hammond's "Been There, Done That," "Lord, Why Do I Keep Choosing The Wrong Man?" and movies such as “Fighting Temptations, “Pandora’s Box” and "Chocolate City," During the time she spends on the road traveling and acting, she writes poetically about various situations she has experienced and the people closest to her. She has a very strong message of motivation, self-worth and hope that the world must hear!%D%A%D%AIn addition to her poetry, she also writes inspirational stage plays. “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore, "If You Don't Want Him, I'll Take Him" and "Jazzy Belle" are three of her creations.
