Ms. Kinnik Sky

A gifted musical and acting child prodigy born in Columbia S.C., Kinnik Sky was discovered by industry professionals at a very early age. Since the age of seven, Kinnik has been competing in pageants; acting in theatre and commercials; singing in various venues nationwide; and cutting her first demo (at the ripe “young” age of 15). This super-talented performing phenom has taken audiences by storm with her seemingly limitless vocal range, her innate acting ability and her “scene-stealing” stage presence. Often compared to venerable singing icons such as Gladys Knight, Toni Braxton and Diana Ross, the soulful depth of Kinnik’s “singing instrument” has made her one of the most sought-after performers in the Southeast for both stage and live recordings. Those who have heard her sing or witnessed just one of her stage or screen performances are left awestruck by her ability to “move” audiences and “wow” even the most intense crowds. Since re-locating to her "new home" of Atlanta, Kinnik has opened for the soulful crooner and recording star, Will Downing as well as that for singing sensation, Vesta Williams and Jazz great, Gerald Albright. She has performed in over 25 theatre productions within the last 10 years, including being cast by mega-movie producer, playwright and director, Tyler Perry, in one of his hit plays. Additionally, Tony Award winning Broadway director, Kenny Leon, cast her in two of his plays and this budding megastar has starred in numerous independent films and pilots including the nationally distributed Sony Picture's film, Trois 3. Kinnik also starred in Robert Townsend’s Playhouse 22 reality TV series, which currently airs on cable’s Black Family Channel. Known as the consummate professional, this savvy businesswoman continues to steer her career toward a pathway of success, hitting an all-time high when she was chosen as a Top 16 finalist on the Fox network’s, American Idol. Presently, she is continuing her work in theatre,voice-overs and film while writing and recording her first solo project.
