My guit is my only friend and it wants to kill you

About Me

Let's get something straight here, you're here reading this right now because of one reason, you know we are the greatest band in the Universe. It doesn't matter what genre you try to pigeon hole us in, we do it all and we do it the best. -Tim Bones------------------------------------------------------- ---- A breif history:.......Often referred to as "The Best Band In The History of The Universe", "The U.F.C.B.s"© were spawned without instruments in Cambridge Ontario in 1989. Though born of a whim, the music is of course anything but whimsical. Three very talented musicians in their own right (at the time included Tim Bones, Gord "HeWhoHasNoName and Corey Barnes) decided to switch to new instruments to as an experiment of musical mastery. Little did they know at the time that this was the inception of a legendary rock establishment too far ahead of it's time that would brew slowly under the noses of the unknowing gradually building momentum like a freight train ready one day to crash down the walls of the creative boundarys that enslave todays redundant walmart-like musical vomit that pollutes the air. Now the band is a four piece with Gord and Tim joined by Alkohallman and Kicky on drums and lead/stunt guitar respectively. The music of the U.F.C.B.s is beyond classification incorporating the diverse array of influences that come from listening to the broad range of music that the members listen to. The songs at times rock like Halen, slay like Slayer, funk like Stevie, soar like B.B., chug like Sabbath, rip like Cannibal or rhyme like the Beasties. With riffs that will make you buy a guitar or sell the one you have the band is also not short on lyrics that people can really connect with.

........Feel free to read more:-------------------------------------

Lead Vocalist and bassist of the U.F.C.B.'s Gord Stevenson- is the other founding member along with Tim Bones. But outside of this rock-institution Gord is a professional session drummer playing on hundreds of studio sessions for jingles and solo albums.

Gord is also drummer for the hard rock Juggernaut-HIBAKUSHA and award-winning country talent Jason McCoy. In the past he has held down the rhythm sections for Shannon Lyon, Danny Michel and the Skydiggers and is bass player for the progressive metal band Sectsfest.

Gord lives in Toronto Ont. and is 37 years old. Among other interests such as drinking beer and playing video games, Gord had a stint as a semi-pro wrestler in the U.F.C.W. Kitchener-Waterloo division, was a 2-time world heavy-weight champion and undefeated tag team champion with Alkohallman and Peter Crushing in the Catherdral of Evil. Musical influences: Zappa, Maryjane;) Beer, Terry Funk, Terry Bozzio, Sabbath, Slayer, Kenta Kobashi, Genesis, Yes, Kazushi Sakuraba, Meshuggah, Homer Simpson, Mr. Bungle, Rush, Mirko Cro Cop, The Hives, Zeppelin Clumsiness.

------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------

Long time friend of the band Scott Hallman, took over as Drummer for the band in 2000 when the previous drummer, Jody Cram, died (who had taken over for the original drummer, Cory Barnes, who went missing in a freak wake-board accident in 91')

In addition to keeping the U.F.C.B. train of unstoppable musical power chugging along at unrelenting tempos, Hallman is also a drummer for hire doing session work in the studio and playing in such acts as Marigold, Ground, The Knot, Damon Alexander and the 10 cent rentals.

Presently Scott resides as the full time drummer for the progressive metal act SectsFest and for country acts Diane Chase, Brad Johner and Jaime Warren, and Julian Austin all of whom have won awards at the Canadian Country Music Awards.

Among other interests such as drinking beer and playing video games, Hallman also had a stint as a semi-pro wrestler in the U.F.C.W. Kitchener-Waterloo division where he currently is THE heavy-weight champion and is best known for the suplex that he gave Rich Rogers off the top of a garage onto a pile of construction ruble at one of the leagues special "Your-Back-Yard" rumbles. Musical influences: Meshuggah, Frank Zappa, Slayer, Steely Dan, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Cannibal Corpse, Chic Corea, Rush, John Coltrane, Miles Davis------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------

Anthony"Kickie" Nuic , also a long-time friend of the Band joined as Lead/stunt guitarist in 2005 when original lead/stunt guitarist Brent "Cookie" was summoned to B.C. to follow his aspirations as a champion down-hill Mountain Bike racer. Outside of the U.F.C.B's, Kicky is also a professional drummer/guitarist/vocalist for hire in both the studio and for live performances.

He has backed up people such as Glenn Stiller, Ian Thornley, Holly McNarland, Hundred Mile House, Lori Nuic and worked on too many studio sessions to name. He is competent in most any style from metal to jazz, classical guitar and even adult contemporary. His nic-name comes from his ability to "kick".

In addition to being the most feared competitor in the U.F.C.W. he is actually (all jokes aside) the former North American Tae Kwon Do champion and also has a black belt in Aikido, Rendo Ninjitsu Mui Thai and kick boxing. Kicky is a world class Halo 2 competitor. If you think you are good at that game or you know some one who is, Kicky is better. He will kill you.-------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------

Tim Bones the original creator of the U.F.C.B.'s has also long line of other projects on the go over the years since the band was conceived. In the past Tim has worked as a professional drummer playing with jazz musicians such as Casey Roberts, Neil Davis, Nic Ali, Mark McIntyre, Chris Wheeler and Diego LasHeras to name a few.

He also was one of the original members of Toronto's award-winning Latin-Alternative band Plan C with whom he was DJ, percussionist and electronic musician. After completing a Bachelor of Music at Humber College he decided to focus his talents on the U.F.C.B.'s, El Blanco and BoneSwear.

Musical influences: The Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Bad Brains, Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, The Misfits, No Means No, Led Zeppelin, D.R.I., Public Enemy, N.W.A., Jane's Addiction, Bob Marely, Freddie Hubbard, John Coltrane
