In February of 2006, guitarist Shawn Brandon and bassist Chad Fite met through a local musician classified ad to start what would later become THE THIRD COLLISION. Both bringing in a background of old thrash as well as some of the newer heavy/thrash of today, they set out to find other equally talented musicians to complete the line up. With the ideal singer in mind, they recruited Bonnie Franklin to take over on vocal duties. Franklin's style of heavy and melodic phrasing made her the perfect choice for the band. Over the course of the following two months, the band had auditioned many drummers but no one seemed to fit the mold of the perfect candidate they sought after. However, Angelo Duca, after relocating to the Tampa area from Tucson, AZ, answered an ad the band had placed stating his interest in auditioning. Bringing in a vast knowledge of drumming, he soon joined the T3C family, and completed the line up. In August Fite & Duca left the band due to creative differences & the search for replacements began. Richard Hudson came in to audition & after one session we know we'd found our drummer. He was a perfect fit for the band & was the guy they'd been looking for. He brings in a fresh new outlook & unmatched dedication.
In early '07 after talks with the band Chad Fite returned to once again take back over the bass duties that were rightfully his & bring back a solid foundation on which the band was built. Also in early '07 the band decided to part ways with Bo Franklin due to different musical directions & replaced her with the multi versatile vocalist Daemon. Daemon brings in a wide musical range & the kind of front person the band was looking for. Now being a complete unit once again T3C prepares for their take over.
THE THIRD COLLISION has influences ranging all over the musical spectrum. Their music combines elements of several different genres, thus providing the audience with many choices musically, yet always staying true to their roots. With the intense combination of being enchantingly melodious and violently heavy, THE THIRD COLLISION is an indescribable force, that only listening would enable you to entirely understand.
