While living in St. Louis, Christine had the opportunity to play with bassist Tom Kennedy. Since then she has performed with Nick Brignola, Curtis Fuller, Steve Smith, Slide Hampton and Matt Wallace. Her recording on the MAXJAZZ label also features world-renown drummer Jeff Hamilton.As an educator, Christine started the jazz vocal major at Webster University in St. Louis. Christine has also taught at Washington University, Concordia College, North Dakota State University and Minnesota State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. She is currently Director of Instrumental Music at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Hitt is pursuing her DMA degree through North Dakota State University.
